Rental garden

Our rental vegetable garden is in good shape this year so far.

These are tomatos.

Onions were finally harvested.

These are a pumpkin (near side) and a zucchini (far side).

We harvested the first zucchini yesterday.

This is an "egoma" plant, kind of perilla but different from "shiso". The leaves are used in Korean cooking. They have peculiar good flavor.

We got lots of space after harvesting onions.

So, we planted soybeans, basils and okras.

We are about to go home. Makoto caught some earthworms for foods of the snail-eating carabid beetle that I gave him last week.

A group of women made a flower garden in the corner of the rental field.
