After lunch we had a pathfinder club activity. Pastor Hiraga decided to start the club for my daughter Nanae and Shoma, a 4th grade boy. However, this week all the kids joined because we baked cookies.
Pastor Hiraga and Thomas, a Korean boy who came to Japan recently and came to our church for the first time. He doesn't speak Japanese yet, but he is supposed to stay in Japan for two years with his mother and his brother, so in the mean time he will be speaking with us in Japanese.
From left, Mrs. Hiraga, her daugheter Aika and Mrs. Tsuji. Mrs. Tsuji is not a church member but a friend of Mrs. Hiraga. She has a very cute one-year-old girl.
The purpose of cookie baking was to make a present for the mother's day. Kids wrote a letter with a message of gratitude to their mother and put it in a bag with their cookies.
Each time they are supposed to learn a new thing and also study about the Bible and rules of the club.
