We live in rather a warmer part of Japan. But we had snow this morning!

On a new year's day we celebrate the start of another year with a special dish: rice cake soup. There are many ways to fix it according to localities, but basically it is the same: it has a rice cake (mochi) in a bowl of soup.

SNOW!! We went on a tour to North India to try and find snow. :grin: We found some old snow on the ground, but it wasn't very impressive. Still several of our choir members were excited to see snow for the first time. We had to climb a mountain that's part of the himalayas. IT wasn't as high as Mount Fuji, but it was close to 11,400ft above sea level.
